A landscape architect preferences on border elements at green open spaces during Covid-19 pandemic

Abstrak

Ruang terbuka hijau memiliki banyak manfaat bagi manusia. Sayangnya, fungsi ruang terbuka hijau tidak dapat dirasakan dengan maksimal karena adanya pandemi covid-19. Padahal penerapan physical distancing pada taman dapat diciptakan melalui penggunaan elemen border taman. Sebagai langkah awal dalam menentukan elemen yang baik dan efektif, maka penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali preferensi perancang taman dalam pemilihan elemen border taman, bentuk, dan susunannya yang difungsikan untuk menjaga jarak antar pengguna taman. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian persepsional menggunakan metode survey yang diperoleh melalui penyebaran kuesioner secara dan diolah dengan cara deskriptif kuantitatif dan chi-square test. Adapun hasil yang didapat pada penelitian ini, Perancang taman juga setuju jika elemen pembatas adalah cara efektif yang dapat digunakan untuk menerapkan physical distancing di taman publik. Meskipun, secara umum perancang taman lebih memilih hardscape jika dibandingkan softscape sebagai elemen pembatas, terdapat perbedaan preferensi terhadap jenis hardscape maupun softscape yang digunakan. Perancang taman lebih memilih pagar, bangku portable yang berjarak >2m dan konstruksi beton sebagai hardscape pembatas yang dapat diaplikasikan pada taman yang telah terbangun. Sedangkan pemilihan softscape pada taman yang telah terbangun lebih cenderung menggunakan semak berbunga sebagai elemen pembatas. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah preferensi pemilihan material yang berbeda dari sisi fungsionalitas dan estetika disebabkan oleh adanya pandemi.
