LUMEN VERITATIS is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year (semiannually), constituting one volume annually. Issues are released in April and October.

LUMEN VERITATIS provides immediate open access to its content, upholding the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. Archiving Policy

To ensure permanent digital preservation and accessibility, LUMEN VERITATIS utilizes the PKP Preservation Network (PN). Additionally, the journal is indexed and archived in several national and international systems, including Indonesia OneSearch (IOS), Garuda (Garba Rujukan Digital), and the Indonesian Scientific Journal Database (ISJD).

Repository Policy

Authors are expressly permitted and encouraged to deposit both the pre-print and post-print versions of their submitted and published articles in personal or institutional repositories. This must be accompanied by a complete bibliographic citation that acknowledges its publication in LUMEN VERITATIS.

Privacy Statement

The names and e-mail addresses provided to this journal will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of the publication process. They will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party.

Publication Fees

With a commitment to supporting the quality and sustainability of publications, authors are charged an Article Processing Fee of IDR 400,000 for each article that is accepted. This fee will be billed after the acceptance decision and before the manuscript enters the final editing and layout stages. There is no additional fee for the submission and review process.

Publication Ethics

LUMEN VERITATIS is dedicated to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. In accordance with the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), the following ethical codes are to be observed by all parties involved.

For Authors

• Authors must guarantee the originality of their work and provide appropriate citations for the work and words of others.
• Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical behavior.
• Authors must present their research accurately without data fabrication or falsification.
• The corresponding author must ensure all co-authors have approved the final manuscript and agree to its submission.
• Authors are obligated to participate in the peer-review process and respond to critique professionally.

For Editors

• Editors are responsible for making fair and unbiased publication decisions based on the manuscript's academic merit.
• Confidentiality of manuscript details must be maintained during the review process.
• Editors must disclose and avoid any conflict of interest regarding the manuscripts they evaluate.
• Editors must not use unpublished materials from submitted manuscripts for their own research without written author consent.
• Editors are committed to investigating ethical concerns regarding submitted or published papers.

For Reviewers

• Reviewers must treat manuscripts as confidential documents and not use disclosed information for personal advantage.
• Reviewers should decline to review a manuscript if they perceive a conflict of interest.
• Reviews must be conducted objectively, and judgments should be expressed clearly with supporting arguments.
• Reviewers should alert the editor to any significant similarity between the manuscript and any other published work of which they are aware.

For the Publisher

• The publisher is committed to ensuring the integrity and autonomy of the editorial process.
• The publisher will take all necessary steps to address ethical complaints, including publishing corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when required.

Author Guidelines

Authors intending to submit a manuscript are highly encouraged to adhere to the following guidelines. Submissions that do not comply will be returned to the sender.

General Requirements:

• Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration or published elsewhere.
• All correspondence, including the review process, will be managed through the journal's Online Submission System.
• The journal employs a double-masked peer-review process.
• Upon acceptance, authors will be required to sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement.

Manuscript Specifications:

• Language & Length: Articles may be in Indonesian or English, between 4,500–8,500 words (excluding bibliography).
• Formatting: Manuscripts must be typed in 12pt Times New Roman font, 1.5 spacing. Please consult the article template for precise formatting instructions.
• Title: Must be concise (max. 12 words) and descriptive.
• Author Identity: Place name (without titles), affiliation, and email address directly beneath the title.
• Abstract & Keywords: Provide a concise abstract in both English and Indonesian (max. 200 words each), followed by 5-6 keywords.
• Introduction: Must include the research background, problem statement (status quaestionis), literature review, methodological framework, and the novel contribution of the article.
• Discussion: Should present a precise analysis and synthesis of data/arguments, grounded in primary sources and engagement with existing scholarship.
• Conclusion: Must succinctly answer the research questions, summarize the main arguments, and present the new understanding gained from the research.
• References: At least 80% of the bibliography should consist of sources published within the last decade. All references must be accessible. LUMEN VERITATIS adheres to Turabian Citation Style (Notes-Bibliography).

Peer Review Process

LUMEN VERITATIS employs a double-blind peer-review process, where the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed from each other.

The editorial process is as follows:

1. Initial Screening: The Editor-in-Chief assesses the manuscript for scope, content, and adherence to author guidelines.
2. Plagiarism Check: The editorial office screens the manuscript using Turnitin. Manuscripts with a high similarity index are rejected or sent for revision.
3. Reviewer Assignment: Two reviewers with relevant expertise are selected.
4. Peer Review: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript and provide recommendations.
5. Editorial Decision: The Editor-in-Chief makes a decision (Reject, Major/Minor Revision, or Accept) based on the reviewers' comments.
6. Revision: Authors are given time to revise their manuscript accordingly.
7. Final Decision & Copyediting: Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting for language and style.
8. Layout & Proofreading: The formatted manuscript is sent to authors for final approval.
9. Publication: The article is scheduled for publication in an upcoming issue.

Plagiarism Policy

LUMEN VERITATIS maintains a strict policy against plagiarism. All submissions are screened using similarity detection software (Turnitin).

• >30% similarity: Manuscript is rejected outright.
• 10-30% similarity: Manuscript is returned to the author for significant revision and paraphrasing.
• <10% similarity: Manuscript proceeds to the peer-review process.

Publishing System

This journal utilizes Open Journal Systems 3.2.1.4, an open-source journal management and publishing software developed, supported, and freely distributed by the Public Knowledge Project under the GNU General Public License. Manuscripts submitted to LUMEN VERITATIS  will go through several processes to ensure that every article has a good quality and can contribute to knowledge development.
