This study examined One China Policy that published by China government. This policy is an effort to reclaim Taiwan's territory to become part of its province after the defeat of the nationalist party, the Koumintang Party (KMT) from the Communist Party (CCP) in the civil war. However, Taiwan does not want to get back together with China with several considerations, both of which have differences, such as in terms of ideology and principles in running government. Although Taiwan refuses to submit to the One China Policy, the Chinese government seems to tighten its implementation of the policy. This makes it difficult for Taiwan to become a fully independent country because of the difficulty of gaining recognition from the international community. Even so, Taiwan continues to strive to gain recognition through cooperation with other countries and membership of international organizations.
