Author Guidelines

<h3>AUTHOR GUIDELINES</h3>

<p>
JBIOEDRA: Jurnal Pendidikan Biologi publishes original research articles, review articles, and scientific studies in the field of biology education and biological sciences. Authors are required to follow the guidelines below before submitting manuscripts.
</p>

<h4>1. General Requirements</h4>
<ul>
<li>The manuscript must be original and has not been published or submitted to another journal.</li>
<li>The manuscript can be written in English or Indonesian.</li>
<li>The manuscript must follow the JBIOEDRA journal template.</li>
<li>The similarity index should not exceed 25%.</li>
<li>Authors are encouraged to use reference management software such as Mendeley or Zotero.</li>
</ul>

<h4>2. Manuscript Structure</h4>
<p>The manuscript should contain the following sections:</p>

<ul>
<li>Title</li>
<li>Author(s) Name and Affiliation</li>
<li>Abstract</li>
<li>Keywords</li>
<li>Introduction</li>
<li>Method</li>
<li>Results and Discussion</li>
<li>Conclusion</li>
<li>Acknowledgments (optional)</li>
<li>References</li>
</ul>

<h4>3. Manuscript Format</h4>
<ul>
<li>Paper size: A4</li>
<li>Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides</li>
<li>Font: Times New Roman</li>
<li>Font size: 12 pt</li>
<li>Spacing: 1.15</li>
<li>Length: 8–15 pages</li>
<li>File format: Microsoft Word (.doc/.docx)</li>
</ul>

<h4>4. Abstract</h4>
<ul>
<li>The abstract should be written in English.</li>
<li>Length: 150–250 words.</li>
<li>The abstract should contain objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.</li>
<li>Provide 3–5 keywords below the abstract.</li>
</ul>

<h4>5. Tables and Figures</h4>
<ul>
<li>Tables and figures must be clear and readable.</li>
<li>Each table and figure must be numbered consecutively.</li>
<li>Table titles are placed above the table.</li>
<li>Figure captions are placed below the figure.</li>
<li>Images must have good resolution.</li>
</ul>

<h4>6. References</h4>
<ul>
<li>References should primarily come from scientific journals published within the last 10 years.</li>
<li>At least 80% of references must be primary sources.</li>
<li>Use APA 7th Edition citation style.</li>
<li>References should be arranged alphabetically.</li>
</ul>

<h4>7. Submission Preparation Checklist</h4>
<ul>
<li>The manuscript follows the journal template.</li>
<li>The manuscript has not been published elsewhere.</li>
<li>The file is in Microsoft Word format.</li>
<li>References use APA style.</li>
<li>Tables and figures are properly formatted.</li>
<li>The similarity index is below 25%.</li>
</ul>

<h4>8. Journal Template</h4>

Authors must use the official journal template before submission.
</p>

<h4>9. Submission Process</h4>
<ul>
<li>Authors must register and log in to the OJS system.</li>
<li>Submit manuscripts through the online submission system.</li>
<li>The manuscript will undergo editorial screening and peer review.</li>
<li>Authors may be requested to revise the manuscript.</li>
<li>Accepted articles will proceed to copyediting and publication.</li>
</ul>

<h4>10. Publication Ethics</h4>
<p>
Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript is free from plagiarism, data fabrication, and unethical research practices. All authors listed in the manuscript must have contributed significantly to the research.
